A few randoms that I don't want to forget. Yesterday, Paisley went to a movie with Papa Rusty. She needed help buttoning her jeans after using the restroom after getting home and when I helped her I noticed brown mush all over one of her pockets and on the inside of her shirt. I said, Oh Pais...what is this..it's everywhere. She looked stricken with panic and told me she didn't know. I re- thought my tone of voice and asked her again what it was so I could get it out. She said...I don't know what it's called that Papa gave me. One sniff and I knew it was a York. Apparently she put it in her pocket for later with NO wrapper ;) I carefully took her clothes off and told her it was no big deal and we could just wash it out and in hind sight I'm so glad I took a chill pill and didn't make a fuss about it after she got her new clothes on she came back to me and with the most sincere and SaD eyes and said several times...Mom, I'm so sorry about that candy....I'm so sorry.
Before the chocolate discovery, I was visiting with Papa outside. We both looked over at the porch just in time to watch Paisley (trying to get her bike off the porch) fall literally face first from the top step the cement. Guh...sickening to watch...but it was literally a miracle. She cried a bit but was totally fine! Miracle. She just needed a love and was back off on her bike :)
and LASTLY! She found my hidden stash of suprise DVD's I had bought for her that I had big plans on creating fun family movie nights with. She pulled the movies out and made a sound of elation when my voice made a sound of oh no you weren't supposed to find those. I wasn't mad but she knew she had "ruined" a suprise and ran to her room sobbing. Dusty and I chuckled and asked why she was crying and she said...I don't know. I did...she has a tender heart...more tender than I realize at times b/c she is so independant. Today was such a good reminder of how sweet and gentle children are and I felt like I understood better why we need to become like them. She is only 3 but honestly she teaches me far more than I teach her. LoVe me some Pizzle Wizzle.
