Colorado Christmas

I couldn't get all these pics to post in the order I wanted to it's a bit scattered but here we go...Christmas vacation in Colorado. We had a great adult only night out to celebrate G'ma Joan's and my parents anniversaries on the 22nd. We ate at The Chop House in Denver and then went to the see the play White Christmas. It was magical...and a great kick off to the trip.

Christmas Eve dinner (Chicken cordon bleu) and my oh my was it ever delicious!

Ollie made his way to Denver and got in plenty of trouble there too. He's quite a smart alec.

Celine helped Paisley set out cookies, milk, and letters for Santa. Pizzle asked Santa his favorite color.

Christmas morning started around 6:30. I love our traditions (jammies, prayer, gifts one by one, breakfast casserole)

Santa Came!

It was particularly fun to see Whitten get into it this year. He loved opening gifts and was so tidy. He would take every little scrap of paper to his grandmas for disposal and got so excited about EVERY little thing he opened.

Their remote control cars were a big hit

Santa's favorite color is RED!

and this little guy was truly thrilled with everything.

It was the perfect white Christmas. Dad helped the kids make snow angels and grandpa pulled them on a sled behind the 4-wheeler

Celine was happy about her new cricut

and the hidden cameras we put out caught some VERY exciting pictures. When I asked Paisley what her favorite present was she said the pictures of sneaky Santa

I laugh so hard when I see this picture. A few years ago grandma refused flat out to buy a computer or email. Then she received a calling to work in the temple as a shift co-ordinator. For that job she bought a computer, makes spreadsheets in excel, and emails. Now she has an iphone, uses FaceTime, text messages, and my parents go her an ipod to use while she works out. Oh grams....you were forced into 2012 huh?! Love it!

We had a really fun after Christmas surprise when Greg and Walker flew out to celebrate my mom's 50th bday with her!

We set up a red carpet and a Hollywood movie premiere. We made tacos for dinner and gave her a "movie" slideshow of her 1st 50 years, and a book full of pictures, and one full of letters from friends and family. It was such a blessing to do that for my mom. She has been a dear friend to people over the years and reading what they wrote about her reminded me that I truly am born of goodly parents. I love you momma! Happy 50th bday.

Paisley got to go to primary with Celine in a much older class. I saw this picture on FaceBook and was pretty amused. I think she believes she fits right in with the 10 year olds.

These are sweet texts from my g'ma after she left. My oh my, how I love her. She always knows how to make you feel good and loved.

on our way to home sweet home. It's always nice to get home and into your own bed (and I say that b/c we ALWAYS get sick when we travel during the holidays and this year was no different. WORST sinus infection ever)

Whitten always mooches my mom's protein shakes

and these red heads are still as close as ever.

Pizzle got to meet the ice princess at the mall

the capitol building downtown Denver

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!

Meagan, we loved having you, Dusty, Paisley and Whitten with us for Christmas and the other events were celebrated. How we love you and your family! Thank you for all the kind and thoughtful things you did to make sure each of us had a wonderful celebration and holiday. My 50th birthday was amazing, the best one I've ever had. The thoughtful things I saw and read touched my heart to the very core and I will always remember that day! Thank you for being such an amazing daughter, sister, mama and friend. We love the pictures, well most of them, there are a few of me that are a little too early, apparently, no hair or make up on, but on well, I've 50 now, take me or leave me, right? Love you sis!
