Weekend Getaway

We went for a getaway last weekend to the Smoky Mountains to spend a weekend together and attend the orange and white game at the University of Tennessee!

The road tripping went well. There was lot of this and a little of this...

The weather was beautiful and not too hot!

We were secluded in our own little mini forest with no internet which was fantastic.

We played pool and kids bowling and enjoy the hot tub and giant jacuzzi tub upstairs. Paisley took a glow stick bath which she thought was pretty cool.

We ate at the Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant and Calhouns.

and shared some key lime pie gelato and delish paninis at Coolato Gelato before the game

and we were sure to sport as much orange as possible

and in case you don't know this is Dusty in his heaven....

and this is me visiting Dusty in heaven :)

The kids were a bit young to really appreciate the game but we had plenty of snacks and a pom pom to help them get through.

Paisley's favorite part was the cheerleaders

She loved Smoky, the mascot, too!

 

I am such a believer in family getaways, staycations, vacations. It is renewing and we had such a great time together (except for the rock hard beds and killer squirrels that waited until dark to attack each night):)
